🎯 The Vision: Timothy Wards’ Inspiration & Journey
“I wanted to create a space where art doesn’t just hang on walls – it surrounds you, flips you upside down, and dares you to see the world differently.”
— Timothy Wards, Founder & Visual Illusionist
What began as a fascination with optical illusions and visual psychology turned into a full-blown creative mission. Timothy Wards, a London-based multimedia artist and illusion designer, spent years studying how perception can be bent, twisted, and transformed through carefully constructed environments.
With a background in theatrical set design and a passion for storytelling, Timothy merged science and spectacle to build WardVis Effect — a museum where photography becomes a playground and your imagination is the only limit.
🏛️ History of the Museum
Founded in 2022 in the vibrant Hatton Garden district, WardVis Effect started as a pop-up photo lab with just five illusion rooms. The overwhelming response led to a permanent exhibition space, now home to over 20 interactive installations and counting.
Visitors from around the world — families, influencers, artists, and curious minds — have passed through our doors, each leaving with wide eyes and wild pictures.
The museum has since expanded its offerings with rotating exhibitions, event rentals, and creative partnerships with schools and local artists.
